Well, I'm back again...sooner than usual. As I said I'm really going to try and get this thing going. I went back to work from my vaction and just as I thought it is slowing down a bit, but that's okay.

Been awhile...
April 7, 2013
My how time flies...been kinda busy around here. Figure it was time I try to update my blog a bit. The older I get, when season hits us at work, the more wore out I get. I get off work go pick Jt up at school, come home make sure he eats a bite, take care of our dog, Shooter, and then feed the one and only fish we have. He's been with us a couple of years now, don't know, guess I'm doing something right with him. The last fish we had, was when my youngest girl was real little. She won him at the fair, next thing I know she's wanted to give it a kiss and then there was no more fish...she's gonna kill me for that one...lol Anyway, once I have all that taken care of, I get a snack, I sit at my computer to try and catch up on some videos and then I'm so tired I'm in and out of it. Oh well, seasons almost over, maybe I won't be so tired now.
Yesterday was the best day ever! I met up with some other wonderful ladies from You Tube, There was Sherry, here's a link to her channel http://www.youtube.com/user/SherryWolfe#p/u
her daughter in law went with us also. Sandy, http://www.youtube.com/user/Grandmasandy100
also joined us. Let me tell you getting there was an experience in itself. We were to meet up at 9am at Michaels in Lakeland, well I couldn't talk none of my daughters into going with me. So I printed out the directions, not being to be able read all that well when driving, I punched the address into my gps on my phone...big mistake!! It took me somewhere else, I don't usually go that far by myself, get to nervous and I didn't need no panic attack. But I did finally make it to my destination, late but safe. Bless their heart's they didn't seem upset with me, although I could not blame them if they were, I mean I was really late. We hugged and just got the day started. We shopped at Michaels then went over to JoAnns and then we went and ate lunch at Olive Garden. Last stop was Hobby Lobby, Sherry had her daughter in law, who is the sweetest, take a picture of the three of us holding our bags. I'll ask Sherry if it's okay to upload before I put it here. We plan on doing it again, but I bet I won't get lost next time, I'll check everything out before hand...lol.
This is an easel card I made for Sherry. I used the "Devine" 6 x 6 paper pad from Prima, this paper is absolutely gorgeous! I also used my reversed chicken wire stencil careful placed it on parts of the page and used spackling you get from Walmart to give it some texture then used Fired Brick distress ink to give it some color. Miranda, Ms Liberty25 has used the spackling, I tell you what she is such an inspiration to so many. She has made it in the top 30 finalist for ds tryouts for none other than Graphic 45...you go Miranda, my votes on you! I fussy cut the banners out, made a single stitch crochet for the line and beads in between each one. I used WOC flowers used my own mist on them. The rose trim I got from MB's Treasurista store, I've had it for a good while decided this was where it needed to go. Used the Cricut cart Lacy Labels to make the cutout for the stamp. One of a very few stick pins that I've made.

Here is the box I made for it. It wouldn't fit in an envelope. I watched Terrie, Onecraftycookie on you tube make boxes for the gorgeous cards she makes. So I decided to use some pearlized paper for the top of the box and then used the paper from the same paper pad, then put some trim around it and some bling on that. I really liked the way it turned out, Sherry loved it, so I was happy.
Well, guess this is pretty long by now. I've got more pictures and things to put up, but I'll wait for another day. Thanks for stopping by. Have a Blessed evening. Peggy
